Liz has been with WMUC since the fall of 2011. She took on the news show as director in March of 2012 and recruits journalism students and enthusiastic reporters to the team.
She took her first journalism class in high school and fell in love with the field. Liz reported for Anne Arundel Community College's The Campus Current  in the fall of 2010 and broke a hot campus story with her article "Zoned Out! LGBT 'Safe Zone' Program Rejected."
She also contributed multimedia content to the website and became a section editor for the paper in the spring of 2011 before transferring to the University of Maryland. Here, she worked as a news reporter for WMUC in the fall of 2011. The next semester she started blogging for The Diamondback, UMD's independent student newspaper. She gained followers with one of her posts called, "How college ruined Disney for me." It was then that she felt she needed to expand her experience so she applied to be news director of the radio station.
Liz is still blogging and loves every minute of it. She wants to continue as news director in order to build the show and help other reporters gain the same great experience as she did.
